Dr. Thedalisa Ackep is an optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate eye care with a strong emphasis on ocular disease management and patient education. Her clinical experience spans multidisciplinary OD/MD practices, Veterans Affairs, community health centers, and academic clinical settings, giving her broad experience caring for patients with a wide range of visual and ocular health needs.

Dr. Ackep has experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular occlusions, and urgent ocular conditions. She is also experienced in advanced diagnostic technologies, including OCT, Optos imaging, Pentacam, visual field testing, and pachymetry, as well as minor in-office procedures. Throughout her clinical training, she has worked closely with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans for her patients.

Dr. Ackep values building strong relationships with her patients and believes that education is an important part of helping individuals understand and protect their vision. She is clinically proficient in Spanish and also has basic proficiency in Portuguese, allowing her to communicate with and care for patients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Ackep earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she was an AAO Student Fellow and served as an AAO NECO Student Representative. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Rutgers University, graduating magna cum laude.
