Jennifer Cavazos, O.D.

Dr. Jennifer Cavazos is a dedicated optometrist committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry after completing her bachelor's degree in Nutrition at Texas A&M University.

Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Cavazos has gained extensive experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management, pediatric eye care, contact lens fittings, and postoperative cataract care. Her training includes externships with Clarkson Eyecare in Frisco, Texas, the UIW Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, and the UIW Eye Institute in San Antonio, where she cared for diverse patient populations and managed conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, dry eye disease, keratoconus, and other anterior segment disorders. She is also experienced in advanced diagnostic imaging, myopia management, and retinal surveillance for patients taking high-risk systemic medications.

Fluent in English and proficient in Spanish, Dr. Cavazos is passionate about improving access to quality eye care within her community. She has participated in multiple medical mission trips in Texas and Mexico, providing free comprehensive eye examinations to underserved populations and helping thousands of patients receive essential vision care.

Dr. Cavazos is an active member of the American Optometric Student Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Student Texas Optometric Association. She remains committed to lifelong learning and staying current with advances in eye care to provide the highest level of service to her patients.

Known for her warm, patient-centered approach, Dr. Cavazos believes that building lasting relationships and educating patients are essential to preserving lifelong vision and overall eye health.
