Salwa Khan, O.D.

Salwa Khan, OD is an Optometric Physician and is licensed by the Texas and Oklahoma Optometry boards. She is from Texas but recently moved with her family to Oklahoma. Salwa Khan received her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Nutrition at University of Houston and then obtained her Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry as well. Her internships during Optometry school included rotations in the Houston area with ocular disease and management of LASIK and cataract surgery clinics in addition to specialty clinics in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with Northeastern State University, College of Optometry.

After completion of Optometry school, she did her residency at Michael E. DeBakey VA and was trained in ocular disease, traumatic brain injury, low vision rehabilitation, and in fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Khan is comfortable in managing a wide variety of ocular diseases ranging from cornea and refractive to retina and glaucoma. She is committed to providing the best eye care to her patients.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, painting, photography and listening to audiobooks.
