Lisa Mayes, O.D.

Dr. Lisa Mayes is an experienced optometric physician who has practiced in Moore and South OKC for over 20 years. Dr. Mayes grew up in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK and completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry at the Northeastern State University College of Optometry. in May, 2001. She completed a geriatric medical externship at the VA in Muskogee.

In May, 2001 Dr. Mayes joined a large multi-physician practice and grew her patient base for the next 15 years. In October, 2016 she opened her private practice on 19th Street in Moore and continued to focus on comprehensive medical eye care and routine vision care. Most recently, in November, 2020, Dr. Mayes merged her practice with Sylvester Eye Care south office and moved her office to 10001 S. Western Ave, STE 200 OKC 73139. Dr. Lisa Mayes and Dr. Carl Sylvester enjoy working together to provide a comprehensive medical and routine eye clinic and Dr. Mayes opened an optical shop to service her patients with high quality eyeglasses at an affordable price.

Dr. Mayes is passionate about treating dry eyes, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, autoimmune related eye disease, and learning related vision problems in children. She takes time to provide comprehensive eye care by addressing the underlying causes of vision loss, eye pain, and eye health concerns. She strives to help every patient maintain clear and comfortable vision throughout their entire life.
