Francisco A. Pineda Rivero, APRN, MS, is dedicated to providing compassionate, skilled, and personalized eye care to every patient he meets. His journey began as an ophthalmic surgeon in Venezuela, where he gained extensive experience treating cataracts, glaucoma, retinal conditions, corneal disease, eye trauma, and pediatric eye disorders. This foundation shaped his deep respect for the gift of sight and ignited his lifelong commitment to helping people protect and restore their vision.

After relocating to the United States, Francisco expanded his training by becoming a Registered Nurse and later an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. His work in neuro-trauma intensive care, cardiac and cath lab recovery, and chronic disease management gives him a unique whole-body perspective on eye health. He understands how conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disease, and neurologic disorders affect vision, and he uses this knowledge to deliver thoughtful, thorough, and safe care. His patients often describe him as warm, approachable, and exceptional at explaining conditions in a way that feels reassuring and easy to understand.

In ophthalmology practices across Central Florida, including work with retina and cataract specialists; Francisco has performed advanced diagnostic testing such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and angiography, and has assisted in laser procedures and intravitreal treatments. His technical expertise, combined with his calming presence and strong communication skills, helps patients feel confident and supported during every step of their eye-care experience.
