Dr. Lopez earned her Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Texas Pan American, completing a double minor in Chemistry and Medical Spanish. She went on to graduate Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.
An active member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Society, Dr. Lopez has extensive leadership experience and a strong background in research. She has presented scientific posters and papers at various professional conferences.
